During 2007, US dollars have been counterfeited less for 25%, but in contrary to dollars, the amount of the forged EUROS has increased for 37%.

The total volume of the forged banknotes, issued in different States, as a whole, has diminished for 23%.

However, it’s important to underline, that the quality of the forged money has been greatly improved. For example, in 2006 only half of the counterfeited banknotes belonged to the third, the most dangerous category of the forgery. In 2007- 90% of the revealed false banknotes were considered to be extremaly complicated to detect if they were false or not.
