New 20 Euro Banknote

Ready for the new 20 EURO

On 24 February 2015 Mario Draghi, President of the ECB, unveiled the new €20. This new banknote will start circulating on 25 November 2015. It is the third banknote of the Europa series to be launched after the new €5 and €10. The other banknotes in the series will be introduced gradually over several years, in ascending order. The denominations remain unchanged: €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 and €500.

How do we react at such news and changes?
Profindustry being an expert in cash handling devices and a manufacturer always keeps the hand on pulse. We do always receive the new banknotes before they are officially issued. Our engineering team configures all our products to work with the new banknote beforehand. Thus our partners and Customers have possibility to be prepared to the changes and update the machines they have at their side.

Why is it important to keep your devices up-to-date?
That is a question of Stability, Usability and Security.
Your device’s security relies on your firmware always being up to date. For example, using outdated firmware represents a big security problem.
Once a new banknote is issued you should be ready not only to accept it but to be sure that it is a genuine note. The updated firmware would guarantee it and your business will be safe.

Where are we now?
The update for the detection of the new 20 Euro banknote is already available.
